Shang Liang

Born in Beijing in 1981, currently living and working in Beijing and Shanghai. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004, and graduated from the Experimental Art College of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. Strength and heroism, as well as related battles and conquests, have become the main themes and visual images in Shang Liang’s works in recent years. Unlike traditional portrait painting, Shang Liang’s works extract character images and visual symbols related to this theme through repeated adjustments of brushstrokes, and develop different series of paintings and sculptures.
