And The Earth Echoes aims to construct a profound dialogue about nature, matter and existence. It is also an exploration of the combination of art, design and printmaking. Artist Cui Xu opens up a new imagination and expression of wooden materials through wood, a primitive natural material. His works integrate the precision of design and the sensibility of art, revealing the inner strength and rhythm of wood. Female artist Ji Fan, captures and frames those subtle and imperceptible human emotions with a keen eye. From the philosophical point of view of object ontology, she explores the complex and subtle existential relationship between human beings and non-human beings through the fusion of integrated media and ceramic clay.
In this exhibition, wood and clay, two substances from nature, become the carriers for the artists to express the relationship between humans and nature. Their works not only convey to the viewers a sense of reverence and gratitude for nature, but also a deep reflection on the relationship between human beings and nature. Through these works, we can re-examine our own position in nature and feel the deep breath from the earth.
